Overview of Belzona 4131
Belzona 4131 (Magma-Screed) is a heavy-duty two-component epoxy resin system blended with a graded mineral aggregate, providing outstanding mechanical and chemical resistance to concrete substrates. Once fully cured, the system offers excellent protection against impact, heavy abrasion, and aggressive chemical attack — ideal for industrial floors, ramps, machinery production areas, and chemical storage zones.
The pre-blended aggregate Base mixes 30:1 by weight with the liquid Solidifier, producing a screedable, troweled compound suitable for application as floor and wall systems. With a heat distortion temperature of 100°F (38°C) and thermal stability up to 300°F (150°C) dry / 140°F (60°C) wet, plus chemical resistance to inorganic acids, alkalis, salt solutions, hydrocarbons, and mineral oils, Belzona 4131 is engineered for the most demanding industrial environments.
Key Benefits
Exceptional compressive strength for load-bearing applications and demanding mechanical environments
Outstanding protection against wear, impact and abrasion
Outstanding resistance to a wide range of chemicals
No solvents, no shrinkage during cure
100% solids formulation reduces health and safety risks in confined spaces with no shrinkage on cure
Bonds strongly to virtually any rigid surface

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Belzona 4131 (Magma-Screed) used for?
Belzona 4131 (Magma-Screed) is a 3-part epoxy resurfacing screed designed for the repair and resurfacing of concrete and stonework. It provides a smooth, hard-wearing surface with outstanding abrasion and chemical resistance, ideal for industrial floors, walkways, and high-traffic areas.
What is the mixing ratio of Belzona 4131 (Magma-Screed)?
The mixing ratio of Belzona 4131 (Magma-Screed) is 30 : 1 (Base : Solidifier) by weight, with Belzona 4131 Aggregate added to the resin to achieve a screed consistency. Please see the Product Specification Sheet (PSS) for more information.
How do you apply Belzona 4131 (Magma-Screed)?
To apply Belzona 4131 (Magma-Screed), the surface must be clean, firm, and dry, and conditioned with Belzona 4911 (Magma TX Conditioner). Mix the Base and Solidifier thoroughly, then slowly add the Belzona 4131 Aggregate to achieve a screed consistency. Apply within 30 minutes at 77°F (25°C) onto the conditioned surface using a trowel and screed bar, then compact and finish to the desired profile. Please see the Instructions for Use (IFU) for more information.
