Overview of Belzona 4151
Belzona 4151 (Magma-Quartz Resin) is the two-component, solvent-free epoxy resin system at the core of the Belzona 4111 (Magma-Quartz) repair compound. Supplied separately, the resin functions as a primer, sealer, and substrate conditioner for concrete and stonework prior to application of Belzona 4111 (Magma-Quartz) and Belzona 4131 (Magma-Screed) systems.
Brush-applied directly onto prepared substrates, Belzona 4151 penetrates and seals porous concrete to provide a strong bond layer for subsequent overcoats. Coverage of approximately 205 sq.ft. (19 m²) per 6 kg unit allows efficient priming of large floor and wall areas. The 100% solids, solvent-free formulation makes it suitable for confined spaces and applications where solvent emissions are restricted.
Key Benefits
No solvents, no shrinkage during cure
100% solids formulation reduces health and safety risks in confined spaces with no shrinkage on cure
Bonds strongly to virtually any rigid surface
Easy to mix and apply without specialist tools
No mixing required - applied directly from the container by brush or roller

- 77°F (25°C)
- Pedestrian traffic 4 hours / Full mechanical hardness 16 hours / Full chemical resistance 5 days
- Critical
- Belzona 4151 must NOT be exposed to moisture until full cure has been achieved — surface whitening will occur
Overcoat Window
- Self-overcoat (second coat)
- Apply within 2 hours of first coat without disturbing it
- Overcoat with Belzona 4111 or 4131
- Within 48 hours; if exceeded, surface must be thoroughly abraded and contamination removed
- Large applications
- Use Belzona 4911 (Magma TX Conditioner) instead of first coat of 4151. Apply 4151 within 6 hour max overcoat window
Application Conditions — Do NOT Apply When
- Temperature is below 41°F (5°C) or relative humidity is above 90%

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Belzona 4151 (Magma-Quartz Resin) used for?
Belzona 4151 (Magma-Quartz Resin) is a fast-curing 2-part epoxy resin designed for the protection of concrete, stone, and metallic surfaces. It is also used as the resin component for Belzona 4111 (Magma-Quartz) and Belzona 4131 (Magma-Screed) repair systems, and is ideal for grouting, bonding, and crack injection.
What is the mixing ratio of Belzona 4151 (Magma-Quartz Resin)?
The mixing ratio of Belzona 4151 (Magma-Quartz Resin) is 2.4 : 1 (Base : Solidifier) by weight and 2 : 1 (Base : Solidifier) by volume. Please see the Product Specification Sheet (PSS) for more information.
How do you apply Belzona 4151 (Magma-Quartz Resin)?
To apply Belzona 4151 (Magma-Quartz Resin), the surface must be clean, firm, and dry, free of any oils, paint, or contaminants, and conditioned with Belzona 4911 (Magma TX Conditioner). Empty the contents of the Solidifier into the Base and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous liquid is achieved. Apply to the conditioned surface using a brush, roller, or short-bristled brush. A second coat may be applied as soon as the first coat is firm enough to walk on. Please see the Instructions for Use (IFU) for more information.
