Overview of Belzona 1511
A two-component high temperature paste grade system for rebuilding metals damaged by erosion-corrosion. When cured, the material is durable yet fully machinable. The product has been specifically designed for use with Belzona High Temperature coatings, and also serves as a high strength structural adhesive for bonding or for the creation of irregular load bearing shims with good electrical insulation characteristics.
Key Benefits
Outstanding performance under elevated temperature conditions including dry heat and steam exposure
Machinable using conventional tools after cure
Exceptional compressive strength for load-bearing applications and demanding mechanical environments
100% solids formulation reduces health and safety risks in confined spaces with no shrinkage on cure
Outstanding resistance to erosion damage in flowing fluid and abrasive environments

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Belzona 1511 (Super HT-Metal) used for?
Belzona 1511 (Super HT-Metal) is a high temperature metal repair paste designed for rebuilding metal damaged by erosion-corrosion at elevated temperatures up to 320°F (160°C). It is specifically engineered for use beneath Belzona high temperature coatings such as Belzona 1593.
How does Belzona 1511 differ from Belzona 1111?
While Belzona 1111 (Super Metal) is engineered for general metal repair at standard temperatures, Belzona 1511 is formulated specifically to withstand sustained operation at elevated temperatures — up to 170°C (338°F) dry and 160°C (320°F) wet immersion — making it the right choice for hot service applications.
Can Belzona 1511 be used as a structural adhesive?
Yes. In addition to rebuilding metal, Belzona 1511 functions as a high strength structural adhesive for cold bonding components in high temperature service, with tensile shear strengths exceeding 3,000 psi on grit-blasted mild steel.
