Slip-resistance in floors, stairs, walkways
Common industries: Food and Drink Industry, Healthcare Industry, General Maintenance
Overview
OSHA's slip-resistance threshold for walking surfaces is a SCOF of 0.5, and process spills, oil tracking, and worn aggregate quickly drop the working surface below that line in food, healthcare, and manufacturing facilities. Belzona 4411 (Granogrip) is the two-part epoxy safety-grip system for walkways, ramps, ladder rungs, and stair treads where slip risk is highest; Belzona 5231 (SG Laminate) provides chemical-resistant floor protection with the slip-resistant aggregate built into the coating film. Both apply over prepared concrete or steel and cure to walk-on hardness inside the standard turnaround weekend.

About Floor Problem Areas
Industrial floor work is constrained by the binding spec on the drawing: a static coefficient of friction (SCOF) for slip resistance, a chemical-compatibility list for splash service, and a recoat window that fits inside a weekend or summer shutdown. Belzona's floor family is specified against those numbers, not against generic claims.
