Overview of Belzona 8211

Belzona 8211 (HP Anti-Seize) is a pre-assembly material for metal components subject to high temperature which prevents seizure, corrosion, pitting, galling, and thread distortion. Specially formulated for application to mating surfaces of nuts, bolts, couplings, sprockets, pulleys, and other components, this multi-purpose and metal-free compound resists vibration, contraction, expansion, corrosion, chemicals, and temperatures up to 1100°C (2000°F).

Belzona 8211 (HP Anti-Seize) will not corrode or react with dissimilar metals. It is suitable for application to most metal substrates including chrome, molybdenum, vanadium, titanium, stainless steel, and nimonics. The product contains no metals or molybdenum disulphide, and extremely low levels of halogens, sulfur, and extractable nitrates/nitrites.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Belzona 8211 used for?

Belzona 8211 (HP Anti-Seize) is a high-performance, metal-free anti-seize compound used to protect mating metal parts from seizure and galling caused by high temperature, corrosion, and chemical attack. It is applied to fasteners and components such as nuts, bolts, couplings, sprockets, pulleys, keys, sleeves, splines, fulcrum pins, and studs prior to assembly to assist with future disassembly even after long periods in service.

What is the working temperature range of Belzona 8211?

Belzona 8211 has a working temperature range of -40°C to 1100°C (-40°F to 2000°F), making it suitable for use on components subject to extreme thermal cycling and high-temperature service.

Which metal substrates is Belzona 8211 suitable for?

Belzona 8211 is suitable for application to most metal substrates, including chrome, molybdenum, vanadium, titanium, stainless steel, and nimonics. Because it is metal-free, it will not corrode or react with dissimilar metals.

Can Belzona 8211 be applied to oily, contaminated, or damp surfaces?

Yes. Belzona 8211 can be applied to oil or chemically impregnated surfaces, as well as damp or wet surfaces. For best results, follow the surface preparation steps described in the Instructions for Use.

Should Belzona 8211 be used on components in contact with pure oxygen?

No. Belzona 8211 is inert to most gases including nitrogen, freon, butane, and natural gas, but it must not be used on components that come into contact with pure oxygen.
