Overview of Belzona 1814
A three-component system (Base + Solidifier + Aggregate) for repairing and protecting surfaces against abrasive attack. The product is based on high molecular weight polymers and oligomers incorporating abrasion resistant ceramic aggregates and a separately blended aggregate component, allowing application up to 0.5 inch (12.7 mm) thickness.
Key Benefits
Outstanding resistance to erosion damage in flowing fluid and abrasive environments
Exceptional compressive strength for load-bearing applications and demanding mechanical environments
Easy to mix and apply without specialist tools
Excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals including aqueous solutions, hydrocarbons, and process chemicals
100% solids formulation reduces health and safety risks in confined spaces with no shrinkage on cure

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Belzona 1814 used for?
Belzona 1814 is a heavy-duty 3-component (Base + Solidifier + Aggregate) abrasion screed for repairing and protecting surfaces against severe abrasive attack. It is designed for thick single-layer applications up to 0.5 inch (12.7 mm), commonly used on pipe elbows, agitators, screw conveyors, and slurry pumps.
Why is Belzona 1814 a 3-component system?
The separately blended aggregate component allows Belzona 1814 to achieve thicker single-layer applications than 2-component pastes — up to 0.5 inch (12.7 mm) — without slumping. The Aggregate component has a separate Safety Data Sheet and must be combined with the Base and Solidifier per the Instructions for Use.
What service temperatures does Belzona 1814 support?
Belzona 1814 supports wet service up to 194°F (90°C) with a lower service temperature limit of -40°F (-40°C), making it suitable for severe abrasion environments operating at elevated temperatures.
