Overview
Structural steel takes weather, condensation, and atmospheric corrosion across decades, and once the original galvanizing or paint system breaks down at edge welds and bolt heads the substrate corrodes faster than recoat schedules can keep up. Belzona 6111 is the zinc-rich epoxy with no less than 90% zinc dust in the dry film, providing self-healing cathodic protection on blast-cleaned steel; Belzona 5811 (Immersion Grade) extends the chemical-resistant and water-immersion envelope where standing moisture compounds the exposure. Both apply cold over prepared substrate without taking the structure out of service.
