Solids handling machinery, chutes, hoppers, mill liners

Common industries: Steel Industry, Cement Industry, Pulp and Paper Industry

Overview

Sliding abrasion from bulk materials wears chutes, mill liners, and hopper interiors faster than any single replacement cycle can keep up with, particularly in steel, cement, and pulp where fines move continuously across fixed plate. Belzona 1811 (Ceramic Carbide) is the two-part epoxy with abrasion-resistant ceramic aggregates for sliding-abrasion service; Belzona 1812 (Ceramic Carbide FP) handles fine-particle erosion typical of cement manufacture; Belzona 1321 (Ceramic S-Metal) covers wet-side abrasion with continuous-immersion rating. The system applies cold inside the chute or hopper and recoats during the routine maintenance window.

About Solids Handling Machinery

Abrasive wear on screw flights, conveyor troughs, slurry-pump volutes, and cyclone cones drives the maintenance scope on solids-handling equipment. Belzona's ceramic-filled epoxy and elastomeric polyurethane systems restore the original wear profile and apply a sacrificial surface that lines up with the next planned outage.
