Overview of Belzona 4351

Belzona 4351 is a high-performance, two-component, solvent-free, static dissipative barrier coating with outstanding resistance to a broad range of chemicals. The system combines the chemical-resistance properties of Belzona's CR-series coatings with electrical conductivity engineered to safely dissipate static charge — critical for facilities handling flammable solvents, electronics, or explosive atmospheres.

Surface resistivity values measured per ANSI/ESD S7.1 are typically 10⁶–10⁷ ohm/square on concrete and 10⁵–10⁶ ohm/square on steel. The 6:1 by weight Base-to-Solidifier ratio mixes to a thixotropic black coating with sag resistance greater than 30 mil (750 micron). Force-curing at 180–210°F (80–100°C) ensures maximum chemical resistance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Belzona 4351 (Static Dissipative Chemical Resistant Coating) used for?

Belzona 4351 is a static dissipative chemical-resistant coating designed to provide both chemical protection and controlled electrical conductivity. It is ideal for areas where flammable chemicals, solvents, or fine powders are handled and electrostatic discharge must be controlled, such as fuel storage areas, chemical processing zones, and cleanrooms.

What is the mixing ratio of Belzona 4351 (Static Dissipative Chemical Resistant Coating)?

The mixing ratio of Belzona 4351 (Static Dissipative Chemical Resistant Coating) is 6 : 1 (Base : Solidifier) by weight and 4.3 : 1 (Base : Solidifier) by volume. Please see the Product Specification Sheet (PSS) for more information.

How do you apply Belzona 4351 (Static Dissipative Chemical Resistant Coating)?

To apply Belzona 4351, the surface must be clean, firm, and dry, free of rust, paint, and other surface contaminants, and conditioned with Belzona 4911 (Magma TX Conditioner). The static dissipative grounding system must be installed per the Instructions for Use prior to coating. Add the Solidifier to the Base and mix thoroughly until homogeneous. Apply to the prepared surface using a short-bristled brush or roller, ensuring uniform film thickness for consistent dissipative performance. Please see the Instructions for Use (IFU) for more information.
